Time:     6:30 pm, Early birds gather for a social before the meeting with the meeting starting at 7:00 pm 




Saturday January 11: Bird Walk -- Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park. Tom Johnson will be the guide. Meet at Visitor's Center at 8:00 AM

Wednesday January 15: Bird Walk—Tellbrook Park, Las Cruces.  Wayne Treers will host a “Beginner’s Bird walk.  Meet at entrance to park at 7:45 AM.

Wednesday January 15:  Monthly Meeting—6:30 PM Meet and Greet at Creative Arts Room of Good Samaritan Village.  7:00 Annual Meeting. Vote for 2020 Officers. Wayne Treers and CJ Goin will give a presentation on Sparrows that migrate to the Southwest in the winter. 

Friday January 17: Lecture by Amy Erickson, Audubon Ornithologist for optimizing bird survey techniques for those interested in the MVAS Bird Survey Project. Location and time to be determined. 

Saturday January 18: Field Trip. Follow-up of Friday's lecture with Amy Erickson leading a field trip to demonstrate methodology discussed previous night. Meeting site and time to be announced. 

Saturday January 25: Bird Walk-- Leasburg Dam State Park. CJ Goin will be the guide. Meet at Visitor's Center at 8:00 AM

Saturday January 25: Class on Winter Birding at Wild Birds Unlimited with Wayne Treers instructing. 1:00-2:30 PM Sign-up required.
